Lift-and-Slide Glass Wall on a Terrace Floor
Example application: a highly insulated lift-and-slide system with large sashes across a wide terrace opening.

Aluminium Door & Window Systems
A heavy glazed panel that lifts off its gasket to slide, then lowers back onto it to seal when closed.
In a lift-and-slide system, the panel is first lifted off the gasket by a handle mechanism, then glides on carrier rollers along the bottom track. When closing, the panel lowers back onto the gasket to restore the seal. This gives smooth, low-effort operation even with large, heavy panels. Metalux measures, manufactures and installs the system for each project.
The system suits villas and detached houses that call for wide glazed surfaces and large openings, sea-view or landscape-facing facades, and office or hotel projects where higher performance is expected.
As panel weight increases, correctly sizing the bottom track and carrier assembly becomes decisive for long-term smooth operation. Periodic maintenance of the lift handle mechanism is advisable. Floor level and threshold height should be planned at design stage according to the level difference between the interior and exterior.
