Aluminium Rolling Shutters for a Commercial Building
Example application: motorised aluminium shutters providing security and shading for shopfronts and windows.

Shutters
A manual or motorised shutter system of insulated aluminium slats that hinge together and roll into a box.
An aluminium rolling shutter works by linking insulated aluminium slats, filled with foam, into a hinged curtain that rolls up into a box above the opening. The system can be raised and lowered manually with a strap-and-pulley mechanism, or automatically with a motor and remote control. Metalux completes the process, from measuring the box and side guides to fitting the slats, with its own team.
The system is used on residential and villa windows for sun and heat control, on ground-floor openings that need extra security, and to close shopfronts and entrances of commercial premises.
Keeping the side guide rails clean is important for the slats to run up and down smoothly. On motorised systems, periodic checks of the motor and switch connections are advisable. Box size should be sized correctly at design stage to match slat count and roll diameter.
