Automatic Sensor Doors

The aluminium automatic sliding door (photocell) is a sliding door system that opens and closes automatically when proximity sensors detect a user. The door leaves are made of aluminium profiles and safety glass; they move quietly and in a controlled way by means of the motor, control unit and sliding mechanism located in the upper section.

Depending on the project, it can be applied as a single-leaf or double-leaf door. The opening distance, hold-open time and operating mode can be adjusted through the automation system. In current automatic sliding door systems, safety sensors detect people or obstacles in the closing area, contributing to safe use. EN 16005 is one of the main standards on the safety in use of automatic pedestrian doors.

It is preferred at shop and supermarket entrances, in hotels, hospitals, offices and business centres, at apartment and residential complex entrances, in restaurants, showrooms, and commercial areas with heavy pedestrian traffic.

For large or heavy leaves, motor capacity and the supporting system should be determined specifically for the project. The leaf weights supported by automatic sliding door mechanisms can vary considerably by model.
