Lift-and-slide glass wall on a terrace floor

Residential

Lift-and-Slide Glass Wall on a Terrace Floor

Example application: a highly insulated lift-and-slide system with large sashes across a wide terrace opening.

In this example application, a wide opening on a terrace floor is spanned with a large-sash lift-and-slide system. The sashes are lifted to glide lightly and, when closed, settle onto their gaskets to seal.

Highlights

  • Sliding sashes with large glass surfaces
  • Thermally broken profiles and double glazing
  • Reinforced locking and gasket details for a wind-exposed facade

Sash sizes and glass thickness are defined at the design stage according to the opening and the wind load on the facade.
